Academic Calendar

At the University of Warsaw (UW), classes begin on 1 October. The academic year consists of two semesters, with a week’s break in between. Both semesters conclude with examinations. Resits are held in September. The summer break begins after the summer examinations and continues until the start of the next academic year. In December, there is a Christmas break of a dozen or so days and in the spring a several-day spring break.
