In four weeks time almost 150 students from all around the world will gather in Warsaw for the NOHA Intensive Programme 2015 in order to kick-off with their Master Studies in International Humanitarian Action. It is the first time when the University of Warsaw participates as an integral part of the NOHA Joint Masters Programme.
The preliminary agenda, list of invited speakers, collection of core course readings and a practical guide for the students are already available on the NOHA IP website.
The presentations you will attend, although not exhaustive, will give you a solid basis for the start of the year and of your career. The sessions are based on the WHS themes and will provide you with a solid awareness on “how it works” and “how humanitarian action could be more efficient”. The IP will not conceal the most difficult aspects of the humanitarian sector, including the reality of the situation of people in conflict, which is increasingly dire; the problems that humanitarian action is not able to solve; and, above all, security issues.
